The AQQA®bag removes particles and bacteria from water. To 99,9999%.

The AQQA®bag is a water filter that can be used in emergency and crisis situations to remove turbidity, bacteria and pathogens from the water. It achieves a retention rate of 99.9999% for bacteria. In many areas of the world where people have no access to drinking water, bacteria (e.g. typhoid fever, cholera) and other water parasites (e.g. bilharzia) are an acute threat to health. The AQQA®bag is designed to significantly improve the hygienic quality of water in these cases.

In the event of a blackout (power failure), the water supply fails even in industrialized countries. In this case, the AQQA®bag can be used to supply clean water from wells, rainwater or other suitable water sources.

Water sources that can be used to fill the AQQA®bag are:

  • Water from rivers, ponds and lakes (excluding industrial effluents)

  • Groundwater, rainwater

  • unreliable municipal water supply

  • bore hole water

Simplicity…

The AQQA®bag simply works with gravity. Untreated water is filled into the top of the bag. It then flows through a cleaning membrane that acts as a barrier to microbiological contaminants. The filtered water leaves the AQQA®bag at the side outlet where it is collected in a bottle (e.g. PET or glass bottle).

The AQQA®bag does not clog due to the extremely low filtration pressure that is gently applied over the membrane. Solids and particles that have accumulated on the membrane surface are washed out by simply tilting the bag over.

Application:

  1. fill the AQQA®-bag with approx. 5 l of untreated water.

  2. place a PET or glass bottle underneath the lateral discharge hose and open the clamp.

  3. the bag can be refilled as often as required.

  4. empty the bag once a day.
